Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 egg(s)
  • 125 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 150 g margarine
  • 300 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 600 g apples
  • 2 small bottles of rum flavoring
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • some lemon juice
  • e.g. powdered sugar
  • Grease for the tray

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Knead the egg, sugar, vanilla sugar, a pinch of salt, margarine, baking powder, and flour into a smooth dough. For the filling, peel, core, and dice 500-600g of apples, place them in a saucepan, drizzle with lemon juice, and lightly sauté. Add the rum flavoring and sugar, and continue sautéing briefly. Roll out the dough into two equal-sized rectangles (about the size of the baking sheet). Place one of the rectangles on the greased baking sheet and press down firmly. Pull up one edge. Pour the apple filling on top and dust with cinnamon. Place the second sheet of dough on top and bake at 160-175°C for approximately 35-40 minutes. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar.
