Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g rice
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 stalk(s) leek
  • 350 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 tsp, heaped curry powder
  • 100 ml cream
  • some broth
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Rice dish with curry cream and vegetables – my kids and my husband love it

Dice the carrots and slice the leek into thin rings. Cook the rice according to the package instructions until soft. About 7 minutes before the end of the cooking time, add the diced carrots and continue cooking. While the rice is cooking, fry the minced meat, then sauté the leek rings for about 3 minutes. Press in the garlic. Deglaze with cream and stock, season well with curry powder, salt, and pepper, and reduce slightly. Stir in the rice. Serve with a green salad.
