quick Christmas cookies

Cream the butter with sugar, pepper, nutmeg, and lemon zest flavoring until fluffy. Then beat in the eggs. Gradually add the flour and ground hazelnuts. Roughly chop the cranberries and figs and finally add them to the dough along with the desiccated coconut. Knead the dough thoroughly again with your hands to ensure the dried fruit is evenly distributed. Now, using two teaspoons, drop small heaps onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C (320°F) for about 20 minutes. Let cool and then cover the “mountain peaks” with the melted chocolate coating. This recipe yields approximately 45 cookies.
