Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 6 pretzels, frozen, raw dough for home baking
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 65 g bacon cubes
  • 1 onion(s), red
  • 2 slices of Gouda
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

with sour cream, onions, bacon and cheese

Remove the frozen pretzels from the freezer at least one hour before preparation and let them thaw until the dough is easy to shape. Cut the Gouda slices into small cubes. Peel and halve the onion, cut them into thin half rings, and mix them in a bowl with a little salt. First, shape each pretzel into a ball and then roll them out into a flatbread with a little flour. Place the flatbreads on baking paper on two baking racks and preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Season the sour cream with pepper and salt, mix, and spread evenly over the rolled-out flatbreads. Distribute the marinated onion rings, bacon, and cheese cubes among the flatbreads and bake the flatbreads for about 15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) until crispy brown.
