Crema De Elote
The perfect crema de elote recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 Can Corn
- 1 Can Condensed milk 10% fat
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Flour
- 2 Pc. Onion
- 100 g Butter
- 1 Pc. Clove of garlic
- 1 tsp Pepper White
- Cut the onion into cubes and sweat in butter until golden. Add the chopped garlic and drained corn and continue to simmer over medium heat. (approx. 1 minute)
- Add two spoons of flour and stir until everything is golden yellow. Now stir the condensed milk into the mixture and simmer for another 5 minutes. Add the white pepper and season with salt. Now puree the entire mixture in the mixer.
- Cut the tortillas into 1 cm thick strips for the garnish. Heat the vegetable oil in the pan and briefly bake the strips until crispy.
- Garnish the soup in the plate with the crispy tortilla strips.
