Crema De Elote

The perfect crema de elote recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 Can Corn
  • 1 Can Condensed milk 10% fat
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 2 Pc. Onion
  • 100 g Butter
  • 1 Pc. Clove of garlic
  • 1 tsp Pepper White
  1. Cut the onion into cubes and sweat in butter until golden. Add the chopped garlic and drained corn and continue to simmer over medium heat. (approx. 1 minute)
  2. Add two spoons of flour and stir until everything is golden yellow. Now stir the condensed milk into the mixture and simmer for another 5 minutes. Add the white pepper and season with salt. Now puree the entire mixture in the mixer.
  3. Cut the tortillas into 1 cm thick strips for the garnish. Heat the vegetable oil in the pan and briefly bake the strips until crispy.
  4. Garnish the soup in the plate with the crispy tortilla strips.
