Crispy Baobab
The perfect crispy baobab recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- Dough:
- 450 g Spelled flour
- 240 g Milk warm
- 30 g Soft butter
- 50 g Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 20 g Yeast fresh
- 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
- Extra:
- 100 g Butter
- 200 g Sugar brown
- 3 tbsp Ground cinnamon
- Parchment paper
- Put the flour in a bowl and make a well. Add warm milk, butter, sugar and salt and crumble the yeast into it. Dissolve while stirring and cover the mixture a little from the edge and let rise for about 20 minutes.
- In the meantime, let the butter turn golden brown in a pan. Then stir in the sugar and cinnamon on the switched off hotplate. Cooling down.
- Now knead the dough well with the pre-dough and let the dough rise for another 20 minutes. Then pluck off balls (about 40 pieces around) about 20g heavy one!
- Line a round baking sheet with parchment paper, bundt cake pan, box shape … or similar is also possible.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees!
- Crumble the prepared dough balls one after the other through the sugar / cinnamon butter so that they are sugary all around. Then place them in layers on top of the prepared baking pan. Spread the rest of the sugar / cinnamon mixture over it and let it rest for 10 minutes! Then bake for 20-25 minutes. 🙂 Tastes lukewarm best!
