Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 70 g nuts or seeds
  • 220 g spelt flour
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 80 g honey
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 47 minutes

Cookies with spelt flour and free from sugar

First, preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F) using a fan/convection oven. Chop the seeds or nuts of your choice and roast them in a dry pan. Let them cool. Then mix all the ingredients together and knead. Roll out the dough, cut out hearts, and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake the hearts for 10-12 minutes. Tips: You can decorate the hearts with chocolate or icing. You can also use whole-wheat flour instead of spelt flour, or mix the two together.
