Cucumber Sandwich

The perfect cucumber sandwich recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 8 Discs Toast without crust
  • 0,125 piece Cucumber
  • 1 g Salt
  • 0,5 g Pepper, freshly ground
  • 10 g Butter
  1. Peel the cucumber and slice it thinly
  2. Cut off the rind from the toasted bread, brush with butter and top with cucumber, sprinkle with salt and pepper
  3. Top with another buttered slice of toast and cut diagonally in half (I think the British don’t like that at all – why always ?!)
  4. Optional: a slice of young cheese or boiled ham as a base under the cucumbers is of course no longer original!
