Cucumber Sandwich
The perfect cucumber sandwich recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 8 Discs Toast without crust
- 0,125 piece Cucumber
- 1 g Salt
- 0,5 g Pepper, freshly ground
- 10 g Butter
- Peel the cucumber and slice it thinly
- Cut off the rind from the toasted bread, brush with butter and top with cucumber, sprinkle with salt and pepper
- Top with another buttered slice of toast and cut diagonally in half (I think the British don’t like that at all – why always ?!)
- Optional: a slice of young cheese or boiled ham as a base under the cucumbers is of course no longer original!
