Curd dough – apple strudel

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 250 g butter
  • 250 g quark (cottage cheese)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 750 g apples
  • 80 g sugar
  • 20 g vanilla pudding powder or cornstarch
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 egg(s), for brushing
  • possibly breadcrumbs
  • possibly rum raisins

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Crumble the flour and butter, knead well with the curd cheese and salt, and let rest in a cool place for 30 minutes. Peel the apples and coarsely grate them. Mix with sugar, pudding powder, and cinnamon. I also added rum-soaked raisins and some breadcrumbs. Roll out the dough into a thin rectangle, fill it, roll it up, and brush with egg. Bake at 200°C for about 30-40 minutes. After 20 minutes, reduce the heat to 170°C.
