Spread the love

Ingredients for 26 servings:

  • 200 g butter
  • 200 g powdered sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 200 g flour, smooth
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 125 ml red wine
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp chocolate rolls
  • Butter and flour for the mold(s)
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Water, hot, as needed

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Grease small square baking pans or a loaf pan with butter and dust with flour. Preheat oven to 180°C. Cream softened butter with icing sugar and vanilla sugar until very fluffy. Gradually add eggs until smooth. Sift flour with baking powder and mix alternately with the red wine into the fluffy butter, sugar, and egg mixture. Finally, stir in the cinnamon, cocoa powder, and chocolate sprinkles. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan(s) and bake in the preheated oven for approx. 35-40 minutes (depending on the diameter of the pan). Then turn out and let cool. For the glaze, mix together icing sugar, lemon juice, and hot water. The mixture should form a thick, creamy mixture. Cover the cake with glaze and decorate as desired. Dip your knife in hot water before cutting to prevent the glaze from cracking.
