Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ¼ liter of milk
  • 60 g butter
  • 60 g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 500 g quark (cottage cheese)
  • 125 g flour
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 3 tsp, heaped lemon zest, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 55 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Quark dumpling casserole, very tasty, children also like it very much

Combine milk, butter, and sugar in a shallow baking dish and place in a preheated oven at approximately 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) until the butter has melted. Stir together the eggs, quark, flour, lemon zest, and vanilla sugar until smooth. Scoop out dumplings with a tablespoon and place them in the hot milk, sugar, and butter mixture. Bake at 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for approximately 55 minutes, until the liquid has been absorbed and a brown crust has formed. Serve with fruit purée, powdered sugar, vanilla sauce, or fruit.
