Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g flour
  • 150 g butter
  • 75 g sugar
  • 1 egg white
  • 500 g currants, for topping
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 100 g sugar
  • 200 g cream
  • ½ packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pack of pudding powder
  • Powdered sugar, for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

with cream topping

Make a dough from the listed ingredients and let it rest for one hour. Then pour the dough into a springform pan, forming a raised edge, pierce it a few times, and top with the currants. Mix the ingredients for the glaze, pour over the berries, and bake at 175 degrees Celsius for about 45 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
