curry strips

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 300 g carrot(s)
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • curry powder
  • salt and pepper
  • 500 g turkey meat
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 400 ml coconut milk
  • 300 g peas, frozen

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

With turkey and coconut milk

Peel and dice the onion. Peel the carrots and also dice them. In a large bowl, mix the flour with the curry powder (amount to taste – I use 2 tablespoons), a teaspoon of salt, and a pinch of pepper. Cut the meat into bite-sized pieces, add it to the bowl with the spices, and mix well. Heat the oil in a pan, briefly fry the diced onion, and then brown the meat all over. Add the carrots and fry briefly. Add the coconut milk and simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes. After 5 minutes, add the peas. Finally, season to taste with curry, salt, and pepper. Serve with rice. Since the coconut and curry flavors aren’t overpowering in this dish, I think it’s a great way to introduce children to slightly exotic dishes.
