Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 350 g flour
- 350 g powdered sugar
- 350 g applesauce (1/2 jar)
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder, unsweetened
- 1 ½ packets of baking powder
- 10 tbsp oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp rum or rum flavoring
- 250 g powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp water (adjust the amount!)
- Butter for the baking tray
- Sprinkles or similar for garnishing
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C and grease a baking sheet with butter. Combine the oil and eggs in a large bowl and mix briefly. Then add all the ingredients and mix, preferably with a hand mixer, until you have a smooth batter. Spread the batter on the baking sheet. Bake in the oven on the second rack from the bottom at 175°C for 30 minutes. Remove the cake and let it rest for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, mix the powdered sugar with water until smooth. If desired, prepare colorful sprinkles, cocoa sprinkles, or similar treats. Then pour the icing into the center of the cake, quickly spread it over the cake with a spatula or brush, and decorate as desired.
