Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 4 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 150 g quark (low-fat)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 125 g dates (dried, pitted)
  • 100 ml water (boiling – for the dates)

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Quark-oil dough without sugar

Preparation: Halve the dates and place them in a bowl. Pour about 100 ml of boiling water over them and let them stand for about 5-6 minutes until the dates have absorbed the water. Then puree the dates with a hand blender. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Using the dough hook of a hand mixer, stir in the date puree, quark, and rapeseed oil until all the ingredients combine to form an elastic dough. Form about 10 small dough balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C (convection oven) on the middle rack for about 15-20 minutes. The date rolls are delicious both warm and cold.
