Dates in Oatmeal Peanut Coating

The perfect dates in oatmeal peanut coating recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 10 piece Pitted dates
  • 10 piece Whole peeled almonds
  • 1,5 Cup Instant oatmeal
  • 0,333333 Cup Peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp Lukewarm water
  • 200 g Dark couverture
  • 50 g Chopped hazelnuts
  1. Core the dates, stick a whole almond in each date and freeze until the date is really hard.
  2. Finely chop the oatmeal in the food processor. Add the peanut butter, maple syrup and water and work into a dough.
  3. Cover the frozen dates completely with the batter and refreeze.
  4. Melt the couverture and prepare the chopped hazelnuts.
  5. Now dip half of each date wrapped in batter into the melted chocolate and then immediately into the chopped hazelnuts.
  6. Keep in the refrigerator until ready to be eaten.
