Descale And Clean Aldi K-fee – This Is How It Works

Descale Aldi K-fee with the right tools

You should descale your machine once a month. If your tap water is particularly soft, it is sufficient to do this every 2 to 3 months.

  1. Use the descaler specially designed for your capsule machine. The manufacturer recommends never using vinegar or vinegar-based cleaners, as these agents could damage the hoses and seals.
  2. First empty the water tank and then fill in 100 ml descaler and 400 ml water.
  3. Make sure there is no capsule in the machine and close the lever.
  4. Place a container under the spout that can collect at least 500 ml of liquid.
  5. Switch on the machine and rinse until the water tank is empty.
  6. Now you can remove the water tank and rinse it thoroughly under running water.
  7. Put the tank back in place and allow at least a liter of water to run through it.
  8. If you replace the water filter regularly, descaling is only necessary once a year.

Cleaning Aldi K-fee properly – you have to pay attention to that

You should clean the machine regularly to prevent bacteria from forming in your device and the coffee from tasting bitter. It’s quick and easy. Rinse the K-fee once a day with fresh water without a coffee capsule. To do this, place a cup underneath and press the “Rinse” button. This will prevent deposits in the lines. Empty the capsule container, the drip grid, and the drip tray every day. Use special cleaning capsules from the manufacturer every 14 days:

  • To do this, place a receptacle under the spout and then select the button for a small coffee.
  • Discard the water and then wait 2 minutes.
  • Put the container back under and now press the button for a normal coffee. Pour the water away again.
  • Drop the cleaning capsule into the designated container.
  • After placing the vessel back under the spout, press the regular coffee button again.
  • Your device is now cleaned and you can enjoy your fresh hot drink.
