Instructions
Working time approx. 1 hour; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 2 hours
enough for about 90 pieces
Knead the flour with sugar, butter in pieces, egg, honey, baking soda, hazelnuts and spices until smooth and let rest in a cool place for about 1 hour. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/2 cm thick and cut out hearts using a cookie cutter. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 8-10 minutes. Let cool. Meanwhile, warm the jam with a dash of rum and spread a thin layer of it on the hearts. Knead the marzipan with the powdered sugar. Roll the mixture out thinly between two layers of plastic wrap. Cut out hearts in the same shape and place on the cookies. Melt the dark chocolate in a hot water bath. Cover the hearts with it and then let it dry. Melt the white chocolate as well. Place in a small freezer bag, cut off a corner and decorate the hearts as desired.
