Easter Chocolate Bomb (Monique Ascanelli)
The perfect easter chocolate bomb (monique ascanelli) recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
dough
- 230 g Butter
- 200 g Dark chocolate
- 450 g Sugar
- 60 g Cocoa powder
- 1,25 Cup Coffee strong
- 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
- 3 big Eggs
- 300 g Flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1,5 tsp Baking soda
- 0,5 tsp Salt
filling
- Dulce de leche
Decoration
- 1 packet Rice Krispies
- 200 g Marshmallow
- 200 g Powdered sugar
- Wilton color
- Glitter from Rainbow Dust
- Satin Ice fondant
For the dough
- Melt the butter and chocolate separately and stir briefly in the mixer. Add sugar and cocoa and continue mixing. Add the hot coffee, vanilla extract and eggs. Keep stirring slowly. Add flour, baking powder / baking soda and salt and stir again briefly. Bake in the oven at 175 degrees for 40 minutes.
For the filling
- Use dulce de leche as a filling. Alternatively, place a closed can of Milkmaid in a saucepan with water and cook for two hours.
For decoration
- Melt the butter, add the marshmallows and heat until everything is melted and an elastic mass is formed. Then let the mixture cool down a bit. Dig a hole in the middle of a large bowl of rice krispies and pour the marshmallow butter mixture into it.
- Take out a handful of them and squeeze them into a ball, slowly add more and more Rice Krispies and carefully press the ball into place (this looks easy, but should not be underestimated). Finally, cover the Rice Krispies ball with fondant and make the rabbit out of it.
