Elderflower sparkling wine

Ingredients for 14 servings:

  • 10 elderflower heads
  • 250 ml vinegar (wine vinegar)
  • 1 kg sugar
  • 2 lemons

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Wash and slice the lemons. Wash the lemons and place them in a stone pot. Pour 10 liters of water with the vinegar, sugar, and lemon slices over them. Cover the pot with a cloth and place it in a warm, sunny spot. Stir the liquid occasionally. Fermentation will begin after 2 to 4 days. Then strain the liquid through a cloth and bottle. (Bottles with swing tops are best.) Store in a cool place. The sparkling wine is ready to drink after 8 days.
