Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 25 large elderflower umbels
- 1 liter of water
- 1 kg sugar
- 2 lemon(s), sliced
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 5 minutes
Briefly and vigorously shake the elderflower heads and place them in a large pot. Bring water, sugar, and lemon slices to a boil in another pot and continue simmering over low heat until the sugar has dissolved. Pour the sugar syrup over the elderflowers, cover, and let steep for 3 days. Then strain the syrup through a sieve and pour into prepared, very clean bottles.
