Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 700 ml white wine
  • 800 ml water
  • 1 tsp citric acid
  • 4 lemons, untreated
  • 1 ½ kg sugar
  • 15 elderflower umbels

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest period approx. 5 days; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 days 15 minutes

Mix the wine with the water and add the citric acid. Wash the lemons, slice them, and add them to the water and wine mixture along with the elderflowers. Cover the mixture with cling film and let it steep in the refrigerator for 5 days. Then pour it through a sieve and bring to a boil with the sugar. Boil for 5 minutes and then immediately bottle (with screw caps).
