Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 potatoes (approx. 200 g each)
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 200 g cheese (Emmental or Appenzeller)
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ jar white wine
  • pepper
  • Caraway, sesame, sunflower seeds, paprika powder or chopped parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Brush the potatoes thoroughly under running water and, without peeling them, halve them lengthwise. Brush with oil and sprinkle the cut sides with salt. Place the potatoes side by side on a greased baking tray. Place in the preheated oven (electric oven 225°C, gas mark 5, fan oven 200°C) and bake for about 35 minutes. Meanwhile, mix the ingredients for the cheese spread (from cheese to pepper), then spread it evenly over the cut sides of the potatoes. Sprinkle the potatoes with caraway seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, paprika, or parsley, if desired. Return to the oven and bake for a few more minutes. Serve with a mixed leaf salad.
