Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 head of endive lettuce
- 1 kg potatoes
- 500 g black pudding (Mülheimer Mehlpiepen)
- 2 large onions, peeled, diced
- Fat
- 100 ml cream and milk, mixed, approx.
- salt and pepper
- Vinegar
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes
Mülheim specialty
Boil the potatoes and, once cooked, mash them with milk and cream. Season with salt, pepper, and vinegar. Cut the lettuce into strips, wash, and drain well. Then mix it into the potato mixture and season to taste. Fry the onions in a little fat and pour over the dish. Fry the black pudding in slices and serve with the side dish.
