English Ginger Biscuits
The perfect english ginger biscuits recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 225 g Flour
- 1 pinch Salt
- 50 g Ground almonds
- 1 tsp Ground ginger
- 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
- 20 g Grated ginger
- 125 g Sugar
- 125 g Margarine
- 1 Egg
- 1 Egg yolk
- Flaked almonds
- Mix the flour, salt, almonds, ginger powder, cinnamon, grated ginger and sugar, add the margarine and mix everything roughly.
- Beat the egg and add to the ingredients, mix roughly again and then knead quickly.
- Cover and chill the dough (approx. 30 min)
- Roll out the dough with a little flour and cut out as desired.
- Place the biscuits on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush with egg yolk. Garnish with flaked almonds (or with candied cherries / candied ginger).
- Bake at 200 degrees for about 8 minutes
