Favorite potato gratin

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg potatoes, waxy
  • 1 cup of cream, 200 ml
  • 2 cups of milk, use cream cup for measuring
  • 1 pack of cream cheese spread
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • 200 g cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

with cheese, garlic and rosemary

Combine the milk, cream, and cream cheese in a saucepan. Add the rosemary sprigs to the pan and crush the garlic. Season generously with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Heat gently while stirring until the cream cheese has dissolved. Thinly slice the potatoes and simmer in the sauce for 5 minutes. Remove the rosemary. Transfer everything to a baking dish and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C (400°F) for about 35 minutes.
