  • 250 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 garlic clove(s), chopped
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 can of pizza tomatoes
  • 150 ml broth
  • Thyme
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • Sugar
  • Parsley, chopped
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Heat the oil and fry the fennel for a few minutes. Add the ground beef and fry until crumbly. Add the tomato paste and garlic and sauté briefly. Deglaze with the pizza tomatoes and the broth (I always use water and homemade soup seasoning). Season to taste with salt, pepper, thyme, a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce, parsley, and a pinch of sugar. Simmer until the fennel is tender. We serve this with pasta. Sprinkle with Parmesan or Pecorino cheese, if desired.
