Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 900 g fig(s), blue, diced
  • 500 g gelling sugar (2:1)
  • 100 ml red wine, dry
  • 20 g fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 lemon(s), untreated, zest and juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

During the last days of summer, the anticipation of coziness by the fireplace begins

Cut the stems off the sun-ripened figs. Cut the figs into pieces. Grate the ginger. Peel the lemon zest and squeeze the juice. Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil while stirring. Let it boil for 4 minutes. Then ladle the jam into hot, rinsed jars. Be sure to wipe off any jam that has spilled onto the rim to prevent mold from forming. Seal the jars while the jam is still hot.
