Fig liqueur made from fresh figs

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 6 figs
  • ½ liter alcohol, 96%
  • half cinnamon stick(s)
  • 20 g vanilla sugar
  • 180 g sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest period approx. 30 days; Total time approx. 30 days 10 minutes

Halve the figs and place them in a tightly sealed jar with the alcohol and cinnamon stick. Let stand at room temperature for about 3 weeks, shaking occasionally. Strain the mixture and the squeezed figs into another container. Add the vanilla and sugar, as well as 1 liter of water. Let stand for another week, shaking occasionally to dissolve the sugar. Serve well chilled.
