Ingredients

  • 400 g Sugar
  • 250 ml Water

Instructions

  • Put the sugar in a saucepan and, while stirring constantly, melt it at a temperature that is not too high and let it caramelize very gently. It should be roughly the color of honey.
  • Bring the water to the boil and then add to the caramelized sugar and dissolve over a very low heat while stirring constantly. There shouldn't be any lumps left. If only just reduce the heat even further and stir until everything has dissolved. Then bring to the boil again with a real bubbly effect, fill into small bottles and close immediately.
  • I use the small bottles in which you can buy the finished dessert sauces for filling. Make sure that there are lids that can later be vacuumed.
