Finger Food … Pies with Pulled Pork

The perfect finger food … pies with pulled pork recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

dough

  • 250 g Flour
  • 200 g Liquid cream
  • 1 good teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil

For painting

  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoon Milk

filling

  • Approx. 500 g according to taste
  1. The batter made 22 pies. It can be filled according to taste … whether just with cheese, or with well-seasoned, cooked minced meat, crabs, tuna, meat or vegetables. After completion, if you don’t want to eat everything right away, you can freeze the pies, whether raw or already baked, however you want. I made the pies here as a leftover from this pulled pork from the slow cooker / crockpot. It’s a nice simple recipe with few ingredients. Regarding the dough, it should be said that it is a fairly neutral-tasting dough and that the pies need a well-seasoned (almost over-seasoned) filling. The dough can be rolled out and processed very well. 😉

  1. Mix all the dough ingredients together and knead well to form a non-sticky dough. As soon as the dough is ready, wrap it in foil and place in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.

  1. Take a piece of the dough and roll it out thinly. Put some of the filling on top, fold it up with a little air, and press firmly. Cut out with a glass or large cookie cutter and press the edges together again firmly. Now you can press in the edges again with a fork, or as you can see in the pictures, start to pull the pressed edges a little on one side and press firmly upwards, overlapping, at small intervals to the other side of the pie. Repeat this process until the dough is used up. Place the pies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Heat the oven to 180 ° C hot air!

  1. Whisk the egg yolks with the milk and brush the pies with it. Put the baking sheet in the oven and bake it at 180 ° C for about 17 to 20 minutes until it has reached the desired color.
  2. If you have a hot air fryer, you can bake it there at a preheated 180 ° C for about 10-12 minutes.
  3. Bon appetit !!! Bom apetite !!!
