Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 400 g fish, e.g. cod, salmon or other
- 400 g mixed vegetables, e.g. corn, peas, carrots, asparagus, mushrooms
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp flour
- 100 ml milk
- Salt
- pepper
- lemon juice
- Sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Cut the fish into 2 cm wide pieces and cook with the vegetables at low heat in lightly salted water. Then make a roux: Melt the butter, then whisk in the flour. Once smooth, add 1-2 ladles of the cooking liquid and stir until no lumps remain. This will take a moment, but it will work. Gradually add liquid until the sauce is still a little too thick. Finally, add the milk and mix well. Add the fish and vegetables and season with salt, pepper, lemon juice, and a little sugar. I first encountered this dish in Sweden.
