Fish in beer batter

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g fish fillet(s)
  • 280 g flour
  • ¼ liter of beer
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 3 egg whites
  • Salt
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Beat egg whites until stiff. Combine the flour, beer, and butter until lump-free, fold in the egg whites, and season with salt. The batter should be thick and smooth. Heat the oil in a deep fryer. Cut the fish into approximately 3×3 cm pieces, dip in the batter, and fry in the deep fryer until golden brown.
