Ingredients
- 2 Herring fillets
- 75 g Bacon
- 1 small Onion
- 1 tbsp Oil, neutral
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 100 g Green Beans
- Salt
- Black pepper from the mill
Instructions
- Finely dice the bacon and onions.
- Heat the oil in a pan and fry the bacon in it for 5 minutes. Add the onion and fry for 3 minutes. Add butter and melt.
- Boil the beans in plenty of boiling salted water until they are firm to the bite, drain and mix with the bacon and onion mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
- Arrange the matjes fillets with the bacon beans and serve.
- This goes well with jacket potatoes or baguettes.
