Cellulite can form due to frequent consumption of caffeinated products. Our health and appearance directly depend on the menu and proper nutrition. But there are foods that cause cellulite formation, and their exclusion does not guarantee getting rid of it.
According to nutritionist Elena Kalen on Instagram, an integrated approach is needed to fight cellulite. First of all, cellulite can form due to the frequent consumption of caffeinated products: coffee, cocoa, strong tea, and carbonated drinks.
“Excess caffeine disrupts blood supply. As a result, the subcutaneous tissue, which already suffers from impaired microcirculation when drinking coffee, will increase the formation of cellulite,” the expert emphasized.
Sugar-containing foods also pose a danger to appearance, as they increase insulin synthesis, which leads to the formation of fat. Sugar damages the walls of blood vessels, which increases puffiness and, as a result, cellulite accumulates.
For the same reason, salt is dangerous: it contributes to puffiness because it retains fluid in the body. Fast food and processed foods have a similar effect to sugar on the body, and they also disrupt blood circulation.
In addition, alcohol stimulates the production of estrogen, which contributes to the accumulation of fat (for this reason, women are more likely to develop cellulite). To get rid of cellulite, according to the doctor, it is necessary to undergo body wraps, massage, use a contrast shower, increase physical activity, and improve sleep quality.
