  • 100 g macadamia nuts
  • 100 g almond flakes
  • 100 g almond sticks
  • 100 g cranberries, dried
  • n. B. chocolate drops
  • 250 g whipped cream
  • 150 g sugar
  • 20 g butter
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • Dark chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 7 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 22 minutes

Roughly chop the macadamia nuts and cranberries and mix with the flaked and slivered almonds. Bring the cream, butter, and sugar to a boil while stirring. Add the nut mixture and simmer over low heat for about two minutes. If you like it chocolatey, you can also add a few chocolate chips. Remove the mixture from the heat and immediately stir in the flour. Let the mixture cool for about 15 minutes. Line baking sheets with baking paper. Using two teaspoons, place small heaps of the mixture onto the baking sheet and press flat. Depending on how large you want the Florentines, make smaller or larger heaps. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C fan/gas mark 3/200°C electric oven for about seven minutes. Let the Florentines cool completely on the baking sheet. Melt the chocolate coating and dip the flat side of the cookies into the chocolate coating or brush it on.
