Freeze chard: the faster the better

  • Since Swiss chard wilts quite quickly, you should prepare the vegetables as soon as possible after purchasing or harvesting them. This speed is also required when freezing.
  • It is, therefore, best to freeze the chard on the same day. The sooner the Swiss chard is frozen, the better the flavor and texture will be retained after thawing.
