Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 250 g flour
- 4 m.-sized eggs
- 120 ml rapeseed oil
- 125 ml white wine
- 100 g olives, chopped
- 200 g mountain cheese, grated
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 150 g lean ham, finely chopped
- 1 tsp, heaped mixed herbs
- some fat for the mold
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes
with vegetarian option
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a 1.5-liter cake pan. Using a wooden spoon, combine the eggs, wine, and oil into a lump-free paste. Add the cheese, baking powder, and sifted flour and stir until smooth. Fold in the ham and olives. Bake at 180°C for 45 minutes. Serve lukewarm with salad and, if desired, a little reduced balsamic vinegar. Tip: The cake freezes well in portions. For a vegetarian version, replace the ham with tomatoes and spring onions.
