Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 12 slice(s) baguette(s), light
  • 6 tsp low-fat quark
  • 40 g jam to taste
  • 4 egg whites, beaten
  • 75 ml milk, low-fat
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • e.g. powdered sugar
  • Fat for the pan

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Baguette baked with quark, jam and powdered sugar

Spread 1 teaspoon of quark on one side of six of the twelve baguette slices. Spread the jam on the other six baguette slices. Layer one slice with quark and one with jam on top of each other. Whisk the egg whites, milk, and sugar until creamy and pour into a bowl. Lightly grease a pan. Coat the folded baguette slices in the egg white mixture on both sides and then fry for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
