Fried green asparagus

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g asparagus, green
  • some butter
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • possibly Parmesan

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Wash the green asparagus, then grasp the asparagus stalks at the base and bend them with your other hand until they break. This will happen naturally. The base will be straw-like and can be discarded. Cut the remaining asparagus diagonally into not-too-thick pieces. Now lightly brown a little butter in a pan, then add salt, pepper, and nutmeg. When you smell pepper, add the asparagus, reduce the heat slightly, and fry everything for about 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve with fresh baguette spread with a little butter. If you like, you can also grate some fresh Parmesan cheese over it.
