Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 2 cups rice
- 1 medium-sized onion(s), finely chopped
- 100 g bacon, streaky
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 handful of green beans
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
You can make it with different vegetables, vegetables that take longer to cook may need to be pre-steamed
Slice the green beans and sauté until soft, then drain. Sauté the rice until soft. Fry the onion and sliced bacon in the oil, then add the garlic and sauté briefly again. Add the rice and sauté thoroughly, then add the green beans. Season with salt and pepper. I usually cook extra rice a day or two in advance for a dish, which I then use here. You can also use various sausages (leftovers) instead of the bacon.
