Fried snow peas and cherry tomatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g sugar snap peas (snow peas)
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper, from the mill
  • Garlic, granulated
  • Powdered sugar, amount as desired
  • 20 cherry tomatoes

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 6 minutes; Total time approx. 26 minutes

Wash the snow peas, drain well, and pat dry with kitchen paper if necessary. Trim both ends. Heat the olive oil in a non-stick pan and fry the snow peas, turning occasionally. 5 minutes at high heat is sufficient; they should still be nice and crunchy. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic granules. Dust with powdered sugar and caramelize the snow peas, tossing thoroughly. Remove the snow peas from the pan and arrange on warmed plates. Toss the cherry tomatoes in the pan for about 1 minute, then arrange over the snow peas.
