Fried yellow beans with beurre manié

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 jar wax beans, preferably whole beans
  • 2 scoops of flour butter (beurre manié)
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly garlic
  • Fat for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Drain the beans thoroughly, otherwise they will splatter a lot. Heat oil in a pan and add the drained beans. Fry well – if they’re slightly browned, it’s okay. The beans actually taste better that way. Now add a little salt and pepper and melt the beurre manié balls in the pan. Stir and enjoy. Don’t forget the garlic if the beurre manié isn’t made with garlic or herb butter. If you don’t have any beurre manié on hand, you can simply add good butter to the pan at the end.
