Frozen Jack O' Lantern

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 oranges
  • n. B. Ice cream of your choice (e.g. vanilla, chocolate)
  • 4 stalk(s) cinnamon, if desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut a lid off the oranges (not too much) and hollow them out until they are empty. Then use a pen to draw scary faces on the oranges. The faces shouldn’t be too delicate, as they will have to be cut out. This is best done with a craft knife. Don’t cut too deeply either, so that the filling doesn’t run out when it melts. Once the face has been carved out of the orange, fill the oranges with ice cream of your choice, put the lid back on, and quickly freeze again. If you like, you can cut a round hole in the lid and stick a cinnamon stick through to make it look even more like a pumpkin. This is also great to make the day in advance. In the photos you can see how we arranged the oranges.
