  • ⅛ liter water, hot

Fast, affordable and healthy

For the yeast dough, mix the flour with the sugar, salt, and yeast. Add the water and oil, knead the dough into a smooth ball, and let it rest for 20 minutes. In the meantime, peel the carrots and apples and remove the cores. Grate both into a bowl using a fine grater. Peel the bananas, mash them with a fork, and mix with the grated carrots and apples. Peel the oranges, remove the bitter white pith, and cut the fruit into very small pieces with a knife. Mix this with the other fruit as well. Now form the yeast dough into a roll about 10 cm thick. Cut these into slices about 2 cm thick and stretch them out with flat hands so that you get circles that are not too thick. Place 2-3 teaspoons of the prepared fruit mixture in the center of each circle and press the edges together firmly to prevent the filling from leaking out. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the fruit dough pieces in medium-hot oil until golden brown. Then remove from the pan, drain briefly, and serve. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.
