Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes
Grind the Gouda in a food processor. Mix the Gouda, cream cheese, and tuna well with a fork and chill. Form the mixture into balls. The balls should not be too large, about 2.5 cm in diameter. Coat the balls in breadcrumbs and chill. Then coat them in egg, coat them again, and chill. Meanwhile, grind the walnuts in the food processor. Remove the balls from the refrigerator, coat them in egg again, coat them with the nuts, and chill. Between each coating, repeatedly shape the balls between your palms. Cooling ensures that the balls stay firm. I chilled them for about 15 minutes each. Then fry them briefly in hot oil until browned. If you like, you can embed a caper in the center of the balls. These chocolates are intended as finger food. You can make about 60 of the specified mixture. If you want to make less, you can freeze the remaining mixture.
