Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 6 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
- 1 tbsp butter or margarine
- 2 tbsp Flour, smooth
- 2 cream cheese wedges
- ¾ liter broth
- ⅛ liter whipped cream
- some salt and pepper
- 3 handfuls of bread rolls, diced
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Peel and crush the garlic, then fry briefly in hot butter. Dust with flour and pour in the broth. Mash the cheese with a fork and add to the soup. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer gently for about 20 minutes. Blend the soup with the cream and purée if desired. Plate the soup and serve with the croutons. For the croutons, toast the bread cubes in hot butter until golden brown.
