  • The tried and tested ways to get the smell under control are of course brushing your teeth and using a mouthwash or a tongue cleaner. But in everyday work, very few have these utensils at hand. Luckily there are other ways.
  • Vegetables help neutralize bad breath caused by onions. Spinach, lettuce, or potatoes are particularly suitable. You can also mix these into the dish.
  • Fruit does the same thing as vegetables. For example, if you bite off an apple and then leave it out in the fresh air, it will turn brown due to oxidation.   • Fizzy drinks or lemonades are also suitable. These should be acidic to effectively combat onion odor. The drinks mentioned in the flavors lemon, lime, grapefruit, or cranberry are best suited for this. These are already acidic by nature and help effectively.
