Ginger – pineapple – juice

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 300 g fresh ginger
  • 1 liter of water, cold
  • 250 g sugar
  • 500 ml pineapple juice, (ready-made product)
  • 1 lemon(s)
  • 1 pinch(s) nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

very refreshing, also delicious as a non-alcoholic aperitif

Peel and finely grate the ginger, pour over 1/2 liter of water, and let stand, covered, for 1 hour. Pour the water through a sieve into a large bowl. Pour another 50 ml of water through the sieve with the ginger. Add the sugar, lemon juice, pineapple juice, and grated nutmeg; stir well. Bottle the juice and store it in the refrigerator. It will keep for up to a week.
