Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 500 g berries (aronia berries)
- 250 g rock sugar, white
- ½ lemon(s), juice
- ½ vanilla pod(s), pulp
- some water

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Aronia berry syrup with vanilla pod
Sauté the aronia berries with a little water in a saucepan until soft enough to mash. Strain the resulting puree to collect the juice (approx. 300 ml). Boil the juice with the rock candy, lemon juice, and vanilla seeds until the rock candy has dissolved. The resulting syrup should be immediately poured into sealable, hot-rinsed bottles.
